How to install DaVinci Resolve presets:
Installing your presets is simple. Either watch this video tutorial or follow along with the below instructions. There are two methods for installing these presets. Let’s go over both:
– First, un-zip your Storezar presets.
– On Windows, go “Home” and navigate to your PC. And click on “Programme Files”. Then “Blackmagic Design”.
– On Mac, open up the “Finder”, press “Go” in the top left menu bar and hold down the “Option” button on your keyboard. This should give you the option to press “Library.” Press “Library” and then head into the folder “Application Support”. Then “Blackmagic Design”.
– From here, it’s the same process for both Windows and Mac: Open the “Davinci Resolve” folder. Then open “Fusion”, then “Templates”.
– In “Templates”, create a folder titled “Edit” and in the Edit folder, create two new folders: “Titles” and “Effects”.
– Move any Subtitles packs into “Titles” and all other presets – apart from any AUDIO presets – into the “Effects” folder.
– In DaVinci Resolve, your presets are now in the Effects panel!
– If this doesn’t work, go into DaVinci, go to the Fusion Workspace, go to “Effects” in the top left, click on Templates, and you should have these three dots. Press them for the option to “Show Folder” and that will take you to the “Templates” folder. From there, it’s the same process as above.
FOR AUDIO PRESETS INCLUDED WITH THE ESSENTIALS PACK
First, make sure your folder titled “Finzar Essential Audio Effects” is in a location where it can stay indefinitely. Head into Davinci, go to the Edit workspace and add any audio clip onto the timeline.
Go into your Effects library and click “Audio FX”. You should have some Fairlight FX there. Drag and drop any Fairlight FX onto your audio clip.
A window will pop up with the effect. In the top right corner of that window, there will be three dots. Press them and choose “Preset Manager”.
You now have to select the correct effect for each plug-in. So, let’s install Heavy Reverb. Choose “Reverb” from the drop-down menu, press “install” and go to your “Finzar Essential Audio Effects” folder. Double-click on “Heavy Reverb” and that’s installed. Now when you drag and drop Reverb onto an audio clip, you will have the preset available to you in this drop-down menu.
The full list of audio presets and their corresponding plugins is in a text document in the folder.
