I Said YES To Every Editing Request for 24 Hours
We’ve just released a new video in which our founder, Finzar, edits together a whole bunch of assets sent in by you, our editing community – and oh boy, were the results something…
Before Fin sent out a Tweet asking you all for assets to edit, we really did think that we would receive real clips with instructions on what to edit. But instead, we received everything from a dancing A.I. cat to a picture of the front cover of FIFA 14 – with no instructions. Just FIFA 14.
After some debate about what to actually do with the assets (we had been planning to create lots of little individual videos), we decided to put all the clips into one video to create the ultimate editors’ shitpost. You can see exactly how we did it in the video above.
A look behind the scenes…
A few things went down behind the scenes while making this one. First, we were delayed making the video because we were busy working super hard on getting our latest batch of advanced presets into your hands. They’re now available for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, so go check them out!
Second, that shitpost took way longer than we expected to complete! Fin was at his computer for a week trying to work out how to weave all the assets together into one video that made some sort of sense. There came a point where the shitpost was some weird, lo-fi fever dream of images just put next to each other with some dreamy music playing underneath. It was creepy but also weirdly beautiful?
Another thing you may notice about the video is that the editing (not of the shitpost, but the actual video itself) is pretty chill – at least compared to some of our other videos. We wanted to keep things a little more authentic and not over-edited, using just the presets available here at Storezar. We really like the result, and hopefully you do too.
If all goes to plan, there should be less of a wait for the next video! We really appreciate everyone who has bought the advanced presets for Premiere and DaVinci Resolve from this website – your purchase goes a long way to supporting the channel and allows us to keep putting these sorts of videos out there.
